Welcome to the Good News (With a Smile)

For a long time around here, we talked about Life Hacks — those small but mighty shortcuts that help us step over the potholes of everyday living. We laughed a little, learned a little, and tried not to run out of gas along the way. Somewhere in the mix were stories from motorcycle roads, cowboy trails, and truck stops — proof that God shows up in more places than stained glass windows.

Now we’re turning the page — not away from that journey, but deeper into it.

The Good News Gospels

From here on out, most of our stories will walk straight into the Gospels. Not stiffly. Not academically. Not with footnotes stacked to the ceiling. Just the stories as they are — alive, human, surprising, and sometimes even funny in the most unexpected ways.

We’ll look at key Gospel moments:

  • What Jesus said.

  • What people heard.

  • How they reacted.

  • And what it might mean for us when we’re standing in line at the grocery store or staring at a screen at 10:30 at night.

And yes… there will be cartoons.

Because sometimes a simple drawing can open a door that a long explanation never could. A raised eyebrow, a puzzled disciple, a quiet smile from Mary — these little sketches help us see that the people in the Gospels weren’t cardboard cutouts. They were real. And so are we.

The Vision

Our goal is simple:
Clear understanding.
Gentle humor.
Solid Gospel truth.
And encouragement that feeds both heart and soul.

We’re not theologians with tweed jackets and elbow patches. We’re storytellers with sketch pads and Apple Pencils. We respect the depth of the faith — we just prefer to approach it with a warm grin and open hands.

Invitation

So come on in.

Pull up a chair.
Open the Scriptures.
Let’s see what happens when Good News meets good humor.

Our Story

That’s our story — and we’re sticking to it.
