You Are You

The Bible tells us, “unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains just a grain of wheat; but if it dies, it produces much fruit” (John 12:24-26). Let’s talk …

It seems simple enough, and it is. The simplest thing in the world is learning how to be you. But it‘s also one of the hardest things in the world to do. That’s because there are so many other things out there that seemingly conspire to get us off track.

What we must remember is that we’re going to reproduce what we are, or we’ll reproduce nothing at all. An apple tree will never give pears to the world, and nor will a pecan tree provide us with walnuts. Life just doesn’t work that way.

But that’s actually OK! The greatest adventure you’ll ever have is the adventure of becoming the person God made you to be. You might never be famous. And chances are, you might never become rich or powerful either. But you’re going to have a fantastic adventure when you commit to learning how to be who God made you to be. If you think that’s not such a big deal then maybe you have not yet met the real you!

Go ahead … put your seed into good soil. You can do it because you are you. Give it a try — today.

It’s cool to be Catholic! COOL2B!

In Christ.
