Our little buddy Herman happened to be out on the Holy Highway (Isaiah 35:8) in Sumter early this morning, so he decided to stop by St. Anne’s parish to do a little prayer walking. Prayer walking is a powerful secret first introduced to the world by St. Dominic.
CONTEMPLATING THE GOSPEL …
While he contemplated today’s Gospel reading, he recalled that this day is also the optional memorial for Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. Being a cathedral mouse and a superhero of the faith, Herman could not help but turn to our Lord’s mother in his prayer conversation. She did not fail the little orange mouse.
A MESSAGE FROM MAMA …
“Just tell them what Jesus already told the world,” our lady whispered gently to Herman. “If you’re having a difficult time right now, turn to Jesus. He is waiting for you. He wants you to know peace!”
NEWS FROM THE CATHEDRAL …
Well, Herman made it back to the Cathedral safely. He hopes you’ve seen pictures of the work being done inside this great church building. Herman thinks it’s impossible for anyone to walk in there and not long for heaven. So beautiful!
COOL2B …
It’s cool to be Catholic. COOL2B!
In Christ.
