A Good Name

And they insisted on giving their only son a good name! (Luke 1:57-66,80)

Is there anything more important in life than a good name? Well, that’s a good question.

Your name is your identity, and your identity determines who you are. Try as it might, a rabbit can never be a lion. And though God can become man, man will never be God. Who you are is important — maybe even more important than who you think you are.

Who are you? That’s one reason we draw avatars and caricatures. It helps people contemplate their identity and vocation in life?

“Do I really look like that? That’s not me — is it!” Take time to think about this today. Take time to pray about it too.

Faith and reason, working together, is a very Catholic idea. It’s cool to be Catholic! COOL2B!

In Christ!
